An equivalent activated carbon adsorber cartridge for the Donaldson/ultrafilter AK3/1.5 position. The AK designation covers the ultrafilter housing series, and the two figures identify the body size and the connection group, so both parts of the code have to match the housing you are servicing.
Carbon adsorbs the oil vapour and the taste and odour compounds that pass straight through a mechanical filter. Because carbon media is easily blinded by liquid water and bulk oil, it should always sit behind a coalescing stage.
