Donaldson / Ultrafilter Adsorber Element 1C486086
This activated carbon adsorber element crosses to Donaldson / Ultrafilter 1C486086, the larger of the two FDF adsorber sizes we list. It fits the matching housing in the series and is supplied as an element only.
Adsorption is a surface effect. Oil vapour and hydrocarbon odours are held on the carbon until the bed saturates, at which point the element stops working with no rise in pressure drop to warn you. Scheduled replacement is the only reliable control.
Put an adsorber last in the train, after moisture and liquid oil have already been removed. Related compressed air dryers and coalescing filter elements are listed separately.
