A replacement activated carbon adsorber element for the Donaldson/ultrafilter housing that calls for part number 1C486056. This is an equivalent cartridge, built to the same seat and length as the OEM element it replaces.
Carbon cartridges strip oil vapour and odour from compressed air after the liquid and aerosol load has already been removed. That sequencing matters: put carbon behind a coalescing filter and, where dew point is specified, behind the dryer as well. Because a saturated carbon bed does not raise differential pressure, these elements are replaced on a calendar or run-hour interval. Order against the number printed on the cartridge you pull out.
