This is an equivalent 25 micron interceptor element for the Donaldson/ultrafilter SB05/20 position. An interceptor is the coarse first stage in a filtration train, catching pipe scale, rust and bulk liquid slugs before they reach the finer elements behind it.
Putting a 25 micron element in front of the fine stages is what keeps those stages economical, since bulk debris that would otherwise plug a high-efficiency cartridge is stopped cheaply here. Our air filters category covers housings and elements across the train, and coalescing filter elements covers the fine stages that follow.
Interceptors are changed on differential pressure, so watch the gauge on the housing. Match the SB size code exactly when ordering, since a neighbouring size will not seat correctly.
