This mist eliminator element is an equivalent to Dollinger part number 3001752 and is a direct service replacement for the housing that carried the original. Its media captures the fine oil mist suspended in a discharge stream, coalesces it into liquid, and lets it drain back rather than leaving as a visible haze.
An exhaust that fogs or drips is the usual sign that an eliminator element has reached the end of its life. Beyond the housekeeping problem, a loaded element adds back pressure, and back pressure costs the machine efficiency every hour it runs.
