This is an equivalent replacement mist eliminator element for Busch part number 0532.900.267. Its job is separation: as exhaust air leaves an oil lubricated vacuum pump it carries suspended oil droplets, and the fibrous media in the element makes those droplets coalesce and fall out so the oil can be returned to the reservoir.
An element that is doing its job leaves the exhaust clear. When you start to see a haze at the discharge, or the pump starts consuming noticeably more oil, the media is either saturated or has split, and neither condition improves on its own. Keeping a spare element on the shelf is the simplest way to avoid an unplanned shutdown in the middle of a production run.
Our mist eliminators collection covers a wide range of vacuum pump exhaust elements, and our coalescing air filters handle the same separation problem on the compressed air side. Contact us with your pump model if you would like the fit confirmed.
Note: This is an equivalent part and not an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part number. Some manufacturers require OEM parts to maintain your warranty. | Air Supply Number: 11-3142
