This mist eliminator is an equivalent replacement for Becker pump element 965 412 00 000. It sits in the exhaust path of an oil-lubricated rotary vane pump, coalescing the fine oil droplets suspended in the discharge air and returning them toward the pump rather than releasing them into the room.
Elements load up gradually with oil and airborne debris. As they do, back pressure climbs, the pump runs warmer, and oil carry-over becomes visible at the exhaust. Changing the element at the interval the pump manufacturer recommends is the simplest way to hold rated performance and keep the work area clean.
