Prevost Hose Reel Seal 19 mm Polyurethane - DMG 0289
This is the 19 mm polyurethane sealing ring for the swivel on a Prevost hose reel. Polyurethane is chosen here for its abrasion resistance: it holds its lip against a shaft that turns thousands of times over the life of the reel without wearing away the way a softer compound would.
Replace it when the reel starts weeping at the hub or will not hold pressure with the hose wound in. Check the shaft for scoring while you have the swivel apart, since a scored shaft will chew through a new seal quickly.
