A replacement air/oil separator crossed to Chicopee Engineering CEAD1918EP9, also listed as KV2900-022P. This item is sold in a minimum quantity of four. Separators handle the last stage of oil recovery in a lubricated rotary screw compressor, coalescing fine oil mist out of the discharge air so it drains back to the sump instead of carrying into the plant.
Climbing differential pressure across the separator housing, oil top-ups that come around sooner than they used to, or oil in downstream filter bowls all point at a separator that is due. Fit a fresh one and confirm the scavenge line and orifice are clear at the same time.
