Pneumatic piston drain with external reservoir — automatic condensate removal for compressed air systems with zero compressed-air loss and no electricity required.
Condensation enters the water inlet of the valve. A pilot signal shifts the piston, closing the drain port; as the piston continues to move it opens the stainless ball check, forcing condensate up into the external reservoir and building discharge pressure. When the pilot signal is relieved, the piston returns home, the ball check closes to prevent pressure loss, the drain port opens, and stored condensate is ejected.
