Atlas Copco Air Dryers

When it comes to removing moisture from your compressed air system, Atlas Copco is the pinnacle of excellence. Renowned for its superior compressed air solutions, Atlas Copco’s condensate treatment equipment is no exception.

Atlas Copco Air Dryers answer your PDP reduction needs, whether you require a slight improvement or a significant change. With PDPs as low as -40°F, moisture will never pose a problem. Applications may need dryer air than you might think based on your environment or the end product. Your desired PDP will help you select what type of air dryer you need.

Our range of options, from Desiccant to Refrigerant and even membrane dryers, is designed to cater to your unique compressed air needs. With multiple versatile options available, we will find the best fit for your process. Atlas Copco Air Dryers come in a variety of different styles, voltages, and CFM to fit in with each individual system.

Different Ways To Dry Compressed Air

Moisture removal should be your top priority when maintaining your compressed air system. Our compressed Air Treatment solutions can make a significant difference, ensuring a quality product, preventing unwanted downtime, and reducing equipment wear. Stay informed and keep your air cleaner with Atlas Copco.

Compressed Air Dryer Types:

  • Refrigerant Air Dryers
    • Refrigerant dryers are an excellent choice for those who meet the following conditions:
      • Ambient temperature is less than 40°C/104°F
      • Prevent condensation
      • Dew point around 3°C-4°C/37°F-39°F
  • Desiccant Air Dryers
    • Desiccant dryers can drop the PDP of the air down to -40°C/-40°F or -70°C/-94°F, depending on the level of drying. The ability of these dryers to drop PDP to such a low temperature is second to none when it comes to removing moisture from the air and making sure that moisture does not condensate again during use.
  • Membrane Dryers
    • Membrane dryers need to be adequately sized to the air flow to ensure the most moisture is being collected from the air stream and removed properly. These dryers can be easily overwhelmed and fail to remove water vapor which will cause problems downstream.

Compressed Air Systems Benefit From Atlas Copco Air Dryers

A clean, dry, and well-operated compressed air system will save you more money and frustration in the long run than a cheap piece of equipment in the short term. This may sound redundant, and it is hard to beat a good deal, but the better you treat your system, the better it will treat you.

Spending more money upfront is investing in your system and not just spending more on “bells and whistles.” These seemingly small components are often passed on due to extra cost when the compressor already costs an arm and a leg. However, the issues arise later on when you take this route. When you go with some more expensive options, you get into more mechanically sound and longer-lasting equipment. When done correctly, compressed air condensate treatment

The benefits of dry compressed air:

  • Protects your equipment
  • Leakage reduction
  • Reduces equipment maintenance costs
  • Prolongs your equipment life
  • Improves the quality of the final product
  • Boosts your productivity (less downtime)

It’s not exactly what you want to hear, but you will have more benefits with the more expensive equipment. In Refrigerant Dryers, for example, non-cycling will be the cheapest option, but it also has the highest likelihood of internal freezing. Non-cycling is purely on or off; it is cooling or not, and if the chamber gets too cold, it can cause freezing.

Meanwhile, Cycling dryers change the temperature and output of the refrigerant to keep the refrigeration in check and not cause any internal freezing or condensate damage. These units cost a little more than non-cycling, but they remove your worry about issues occurring inside the equipment.
