Pressure Gauges for Compressed Air

Pressure gauges are your eyes on the inside of your compressed air equipment. It is specifically designed to monitor and display the pressure inside your system. They come in both dial and digital displays that show the current PSI (pounds per square inch). Without this knowledge, you have no clue how much pressure your air is under.

Monitoring the air pressure using the gauge makes it easier to make adjustments on the fly for optimal performance. Detect abnormalities or deviations and take action to maintain your system’s efficiency. Stay on top of your pressure with a pressure gauge in place. Without one, you will be scrambling when problems arise rather than getting ahead of them.

What Makes Up A Pressure Gauge

Typically, pressure gauges consist of a mix of several key components, with an emphasis on pressure measurement and displays. The indicator is set in a durable casing to protect the internal components and keep the display readable.

At the heart of the gauge is the sensor element that allows you to see air pressure. It reacts by changing and moving with the pressure. The diaphragm deforms and is translated to a readable pressure value after going through a sensor. The gauge should display this information as a needle or digital display with a clear indication.

No matter the individual style of pressure gauge, they all function by converting applied pressure into a visual representation for users to monitor and control the system pressure. Paying attention to the pressure gauge makes it easier to stay on top of your system and prevent problems from worsening.
