Different Ranges For Different Applications
Able to tackle extreme duties as daily challenges, Atlas Copco’s high-performance tank mounted GA compressors beat any workshop solution. Ready to supply high-quality air, they keep the air network clean and your production up and running.
A true game changer for your operational environment, with reduced energy consumption by on average 50% and assures performance even in the harshest conditions. The unit comes with Variable Speed Drive as standard, Atlas Copco’s own designed iPM motor technology, and advanced connectivity.
Oil Injected Screw Compressors Designed for Efficiency
Adv. Monitoring System
Most production processes create fluctuating levels of demand. This creates energy waste in low air demand periods. Using the Elektronikon® unit controller, you can manually or automatically switch between two different setpoints to optimize energy and reduce cost.
In addition, the sophisticated algorithm runs the drive motor only when needed. As the desired setpoint is maintained while the drive motor’s run time is minimized, energy consumption is kept to a minimum.
Variable Speed Drive
Over 80% of a compressor’s lifecycle cost is taken up by the energy it consumes. The generation of compressed air can account for more than 40% of a plant’s total electricity bill. To cut your energy costs we’ve pioneered in Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Technology in the compressed air industry.
Atlas Copco’s VSD technology closely follows the air demand by automatically adjusting the motor speed. This results in energy savings of up to 35%.
Recover Your Energy
Our oil injected compressors use an integrated energy recovery system. It recovers up to 78% of the energy from the motor and the element oil circuit. Through efficient usage of the recovered energy, you generate important energy cost savings and a high return on investment.
Monitor Your System
It’s important to know the status of your compressed air system. You want to achieve optimal efficiency and maximum availability. With SMARTLINK you can monitor your compressed air installation. Monitoring your system not only saves you money, but also avoids breakdowns and production losses.
Matching Your Specific Requirements
Our GA oil-injected screw compressors bring industry-leading performance, flexible operation and high productivity, reduced energy costs at a minimal cost of ownership. A wide range of compressors enables you to find the air solution that perfectly matches your specific requirements. Built to perform in even the harshest environments, an Atlas Copco GA keeps your production running efficiently.
Exceptional Energy Savings
Atlas Copco’s VSD⁺ technology closely follows the air demand by automatically adjusting the motor speed to match the compressed air supply to the demand. Combined with the innovative patented iPM (interior Permanent Magnet) motor (IE4), the GA VSD⁺ achieves average energy savings of 50%. This reduces the total lifecycle costs of the compressor up to 37% on average. On top of energy savings up to 50% , the GA VSD⁺ realizes a Free Air Delivery (FAD) increase of up to 12% for improved efficiency and performance.
Built-in quality air
Untreated compressed air contains moisture, aerosols and dirt particles that can damage your air system and contaminate your end product. The resulting maintenance expenses can far exceed air treatment costs. Atlas Copco GA compressors provide the clean, dry air that improves your system’s reliability, avoiding costly downtime and production delays, and safeguarding the quality of your products.
Built-in energy recovery
As much as 90% of the electrical energy used by a compressed air system is converted into heat. Why let that heat go to waste? A specifically developed energy recovery system can be built into your GA and GA+, allowing you to recover up to 75% of that power input as hot air or hot water (e.g.: changing room showers). Through efficient use of the recovered energy, you generate important energy cost savings and a high return on investment without compromising your compressor’s performance.
